What it was
SheRooted is a youth-led initiative in Tanzania breaking stigmas and uplifting young women through education and community projects. It had a name, volunteers and work to show, and nowhere to send anybody.
What I built
The full public website — pages for the team, the active projects, and the organisation's mission. Built to be handed to a volunteer, not to me.
What changed
Donors started finding them and engagement went up. The organisation stopped being something you had to already know about in order to reach.
What it gave me
Event ticketing, and the search work that gets a small organisation found by people who were not looking for it by name.
What it shows
An organisation with no budget for a retainer can still have something that works and keeps working.
